| Infant/Kindergarten and Junior Schools - These schools have
their own heads and core teaching staff, but are supplemented by specialist
teachers from the Senior School. They share the use of the Senior Schools's
sports facilities where appropriate and are in no way regarded as lesser
establishments. The divisions of the school are purely administrative. |

| Senior School - All teaching for years 1-5 takes place in these
buildings. The accomodation includes science labs, cookery labs and
metal/woodworking labs as well as ordinary classrooms. There are also
specialist rooms for modern languages and remedial teaching. |

| Sixth Form block - Most of the teaching for all 3 Sixth Form
groups takes place within this building, except for certain exam courses for
Inter Sixth. The Sixth Form also have their own kitchen and dining room, as
well as common rooms. |

| Doctor's Surgery and Sanitorium - The School Doctor visits
daily except Sunday and is on call for emergencies at all other time.
Appointments can be made for the pupils either by members of staff or under a
self-referral system. The Sanitorium is staffed full-time by a Senior Matron
and two Nurses, one of whom is on call for any incident taking place in the
school buildings. The Sanitorium contains both small wards and isolation units
for infectious cases. Medical attention is included in the school fees. |

| Koala and Antelope - Lower/Inter Sixth and Upper Sixth Houses
for Girls. Single study bedrooms with a bathroom shared between two people.
The ground floor has kitchens for use in the evenings and at weekends. The
living room is for socialising and entertaining members of the opposite sex.
Age range is 16-19 year olds. Staff members also live in these houses. |

| Fox and Wolf - Lower/Inter Sixth and Upper Sixth Houses for

| Sixth Form Dining Hall - Used for breakfast and evening meal
during the week and all meals at weekends. Members of staff living in the Sixth
Form Houses are also invitied to use this facility. |

| Raccoon, Sealion, Wallaby, Dolphin and Kangaroo - Houses for
Girls in the Senior School. Dormitory size goes from five per room in Year 1;
four per room in Years 2 & 3; three per room in Year 4 to individual,
partitioned cubicles in a three-person room in Year 5. Years 1 and 2 study in
dormitory groups - individual study cubicles are provided for Years 3 and 4.
Dormitory Prefects are chosen from the peer groups. Age range is 11-16 year
olds. |

| Badger, Leopard, Panther, Walrus and Turtle - Houses for Boys
in the Senior School. Dormitory size goes from five per room in Year 1; four
per room in Years 2 & 3; three per room in Year 4 to individual, partitioned
cubicles in a three-person room in Year 5. Years 1 and 2 study in dormitory
groups - individual study cubicles are provided for Years 3 and 4. Dormitory
Prefects are chosen from the peer groups. Age range is 11-16 year olds. |

| Squirrel and Otter - Houses for Girls in the Junior School.
Dormitories hold five or less plus a senior girl as a Dormitory Prefect. The
age range is 7-11 year olds (excluding Dormitory Prefects). |

| Seal and Beaver - Houses for Boys in the Junior School.
Dormitories hold five or less plus a senior boy as a Dormitory Prefect. The age
range is 7-11 year olds (excluding Dormitory Prefects). |

| Main Dining Hall - Used by all Junior and Senior Houses for
breakfast and evening meals on weekdays, all meals at weekends. Duty House
Staff also use this facility. A self-service system operates in the dining hall
and there are no formal "sittings". The basement of the building is
used to house all non-perishable goods needed by all five kitchen departments. |

| Dormouse and Fieldmouse - Houses for Girls and Boys in the
Kindergarten and Infant School. Mixed sex, family-style groups are based around
members of staff who have children of their own of similar ages. Age range is
4-7 years old. (Staff members children who are over the age of 8 sleep in the
regular dormitories during term time.) |

| Scout & Guide Huts - Used by the 1st Stonham (Boys) Scout
Group, the 2nd Stonham (Girls) Scout Group and the 1st Stonham Guides. Each
Scout Group consists of Beavers, Cub Scouts, Scouts and Venture Scouts. 1st
Stonham Guides include Rainbow Guides, Brownies, Guides and Ranger Guides. They
are "open" Groups, ie. young people from the surrounding area may also
join. |
